Commercial Lead Vents

In years gone by before central heating and double glazing were the norm in housing, buildings did not suffer from the build up of condensation that we are now faced with. Metal roofs in particular have experienced difficulty with ventilation and subsequently under
side corrosion. We developed, designed and manufactured two types of lead vents to eliminate this problem. These vents are now supplied many lead installers and suppliers in the UK.

The innovation behind the vents was to make them from cast lead, so that they were cleverly designed to blend in aesthetically and stand up against impact whilst allowing the adequate airflow to ventilate and prolong the life of the roof.

The success of our 'hand cast' vents has lead to the increase in casting of these and many other rainwater goods required either commercially or for period/listed buildings. We are providers to members of The
Listed Property Owners Club and also cast the annual RIBA awards plaques.

Decorative lead work is an unsung craft tradition, with it's origins in the distant past. A process that has hardly changed in thousands of years, manufactured by hand, using carved mouldings or sand casts.
